, the new S 600 Guard rises straight to the top of the range of these special models.

According to the German brand the vehicle provides protection against gunfire, grenades and explosions and is the first vehicle of its kind to reach the highest rank of armored vehicles, the VR9 level.

Although this is an armored vehicle with a large number of additional safety measures, outside the S 600 Guard is hardly distinguishable from the standard model which it is based on. In fact, the vehicle features the same lines of the S-Class, as well as the same design of front and rear lights, both equipped with LED technology. Because it doesn't look like an armored car, the S 600 Guard fulfills another requirement of this type of vehicles, the utmost discretion.

Even with the upgrades when it comes to security, Mercedes didn't have to compromise the luxurious interior featured in the S-Class range. The S 600 Guard keeps the top-class environment of the S-Class Sedan and meets customer expectations regarding quality, detail and comfort.

The S 600 Guard is equipped with the same 6.0 V12 engine of the S 600 SedanS 600Mercedes-Benz S 600Germany, 2014 > present, with the same 530hp output as the standard version. Thanks to 830Nm of torque and the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, the S 600 Guard offers lower fuel consumption plus a faster startup in getaway situations in dangerous areas. Due to its weight the vehicle top speed has been electronically limited to 210km/h.

Mercedes currently holds an array of nine armored vehicles based on the S, E, F and G-Class models.
