Mini and Puma Agree to Licensing Partnership

and Puma have agreed to a licensing partnership that will include shoes, clothing and accessories with the first items being for sale in September, 2012. The co-branded items will be sold under the label Mini by Puma. Puma will produce Mini goods for the next several years. 

The items in the collection will prominently feature the Union Jack and bulldog, which Mini sees as their style symbols. It will also include unisex bags and accessories like wallets. The collection will also include men's and women's shoes, t-shirts and parkas. The first collection will be dominated by the colors black, white and green.

“In Puma we have found an ideal partner that shares our enthusiasm for a sporty, urban look and lifestyle, has a worldwide presence and, like MINI, appeals to young, open-minded target groups”, said Dr. Thomas Goerdt, Director Lifestyle Collections at BMW Group.

In the past, Mini has worked with Onitsuka Tiger on shoes.
