Mini Taking Over Former Mitsubishi Factory in 2014

Nedcar factory in Born, the Netherlands, in the second half of 2014. Mini still has not decided which models that it will build there, but the factory has an annual capacity of 200,000 cars. Technically, the factory will be run by Dutch company VDL Group who will build the cars under contract for Mini. 

"In a volatile global market it is important to have balanced sales. BMW aims to increase Mini sales by about 50,000 cars a year to 333,000 cars annually by 2016. 

We know that BMW is planning a new generation of Minis based on its new modular front-wheel drive platform. It may decide to build one of these cars at Nedcar.
