Lotus Exige S

With a refreshed body and new supercharged V6 engine, the Exige S is a major addition to the Lotus range.

The Exige S uses Toyota's 2GR-FE engine with 3.5 liters of displacement and supercharged to produce 345hp and 400Nm of torque (295lb.-ft).

The Exige S also gets a fair amount of optional extras to improve comfort and performance. There will be two interior packages: Premium and Premium Sport. There are also two performance package. One adds bespoke Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires and Lotus Dynamic Performance Management (DPM). The other performance option is the Rack Pack that adds a Race setting to the DPM and launch control. The race pack also firms up the suspension even more to maximize on-track performance.

The Exige S will be available in 2012, but Lotus did not announce a price.

It seems a bit less 'light is right', and a bit more 'performance' car. Still, it looks nice.
