New Mazda6 Debuts in Moscow

has been teasing the new Mazda6 for a couple of weeks, now it announced the debut of its all-new sedan during the Moscow Motor Show on Wednesday 29 August.

The 2012 Mazda6 is the second out of the new generation of Mazda products which come with the full range of SKYACTIV technologies as well as the KODO ‘Soul of Motion’ design language. It will also be the first model equipped with the company’s new brake energy regeneration, i-ELOOP. 

The introduction of i-ELOOP is part of Mazda's strategy towards environmental technology development. It aims at improvements in traditional automotive technologies and the introduction of electric devices to enhance fuel economy and reduce carbon emissions.

The new Mazda6 will serve as flagship in the company's portfolio. It combines high-end style and luxury elements with the typical handling characteristics Mazda is known for.

The model shown in Moscow is a Russian-specification version with a direct-injection SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre gasoline engine and six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission.
