for at least a decade.

The design document also stipulates that the P1 "will maintain its status as the best super sports car the world has ever seen until a successor is built."

“The only way a car like the P1 works is by being exclusive and having a short product cycle. After that, you have to step back from the market for a few years. These sort of launches can only happen every ten years or so," said McLaren head of sales and marketing Greg Levine.

McLaren says that it has about 150 cars of the 375-unit P1 production run still available for sale. It says that about two-thirds of the cars that have been sold have taken advantage of McLaren's customizing service. The most common change is individual paint colors and interior modifications. buyers opt for McLaren's customzing service.

The options from the service are only limited by the buyers bank account, and the service has already created custom-bodied 12Cs, like the X1X1McLaren X1United Kingdom, 2012 > present11 photos
