has released a new, teaser photo of its Monza ConceptMonza ConceptOpel Monza ConceptGermany, 2013 > 2013 ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. 

The concept is meant to show the future of Opel both in design and technology. The car's major themes are efficiency and connectivity. The car shows the latest evolution of Opel's "Sculptural Artistry meets German Precision” design language that is meant to show lithe athleticism rather than muscle.

“The Monza Concept is our vision of Opel’s future in pure form. It also continues a long Opel tradition of presenting ground-breaking concept cars at the IAA. After all, Opel was the first carmaker in Europe that built a study and presented it to the public at the IAA in 1965," said Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann.

Opel's first concept was the Experimental GTExperimental GTOpel Experimental GTGermany, 1965 > 19651 photo
that was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1965 that was meant to show an affordable, sporty car. It went into production at the Opel GT three years later.
