It appears that Pagani's popularity is higher than its ability to produce cars. A middle eastern buyer anxious to own a Huayra but did not want to wait in line. The buyer paid €1.8 million for a second hand Huayra as opposed to waiting in line for over a year to buy one directly from the factory for €900,000.
The Zonda continues to be popular as well. The last Zonda F Roadster sold for €1.3 million; a 2008 Zonda F Coupe sold to Japan for €1.3 million; and a used, right-hand drive Zonda C12S sold from the Pagani factory for €700,000. All of these prices represent sales at nearly twice the original asking price.
The question then becomes for Pagani if they should increase prices and increase production. Buyers are willing to pay these premiums because the cars are so exclusive and take so long to build. Pagani says that it will build 25 Huaryas in 2012 and another 40 in 2013, but it is also growing its dealer network. The Huarya will be available in the US soon, which should increase demand even more.
