SW will launch in Europe this spring and be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It offers a new slate of Euro 6 emissions compliant engines and is the next step on Peugeot’s attempt to move upmarket.

The design of the 308 SW is a stretched version of the standard 308 hatchback and is meant to be clean and stylish. The only major change is the added window in the rear cargo area. The simplicity is carried into the interior with seats that fold flat into the floor in a single action, and the cockpit is the same as the standard 308.

The 308 SW has 610 liters of rear cargo capacity in its 4.58m-long (180.3in) and 1.47m-wide (57.87in) body. Despite its size, the car weighs 140kg (308.6lbs) less than its predecessor308 SW Sportium 1.6 e-HDiPeugeot 308 SW Sportium 1...France, 2012 > present1 photo

The engine range will be confirmed at launch in Geneva but will be mostly shared with the standard 308, including the BlueHDi version with 85g/km of CO2 emissions.

The 308 SW will be assembled in Sochaux, France.
