customer rally car before customer orders will start in March. The most recent test was a four-day test at a gravel rally around Riboux, France, driven by Irish rally driver Craig Breen.

“December’s test was essentially a shakedown, but this week we started to get some real development work done and that has provided us with an indication of the areas where we need to take our work next. Despite the changeable weather, we covered a high number of kilometers and we have already started to explore different technical solutions," said Peugeot Technical Manager Alexis Avril.

The 208 R5 is meant to be one step down from a full WRC car. It has all-wheel drive and is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 280hp.

Peugeot is also offering less expensive racing versions of the 208. The 208 R2208 R2Peugeot 208 R2France, 2012 > present6 photos
uses front-wheel drive and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 185hp.

The most basic version is the 208 Racing Cup with 140hp and front-wheel drive with prices starting at €23,900 for a complete car.
