took the 208 T16 Pikes Peak in its official Red Bull livery to Mont Ventoux in France for practice ahead of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30.

Mont Ventoux is commonly known as a stage on the Tour de France, but Peugeot was using it as a full-scale simulation for Pikes Peak. The altitude is lower, but the tight corners are similar to Pikes Peak, and it allowed Peugeot the chance to tune the suspension for the 875hp 208 T16.

“It’s the same beast of a car. Driving it on a real road is a very useful pointer because that is what awaits us at Pikes Peak. Its handling is extremely responsive but I’m still not quite able to place it as precisely as I would like. That’s something we will need to work on a little more," said driver Sebastian Loeb.

The 208 T16 will be shipped to the US at the end of May for further preparation.

The 208 T16 does not just look fast. The video below was filmed during testing at Mont Ventoux, and it shows how furiously quick it is.
