To inaugurate the new, 991-chassis 911, Porsche is looking back on the history of its most iconic model by creating an exhibit called 911 Identity at its museum in Stuttgart. The exhibit will run from January 31 until May 20, 2012.
The exhibit celebrates the over 700,000 911s that have been made since 1963. The exhibit highlights every generation of 911 and looks at rare racing versions like the Carrera RS 2.7, GT3 R Hybrid. Porsche also created an exhibit of all of the steering wheels and wheel rims that Porsche has made available on the 911.
Porsche is offering one hour guided tours of the exhibit to allow enthusiasts to learn even more about the 911, or attendees can enjoy the exhibit on their own.
Porsche is open from 9am to 6pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The admission price is €8 for adults, and children 14 and under are admitted for free.
