PSA Sales in China Hit 440,000 Cars, Up 8%

and Dongfeng, its joint venture partner in China, sold 440,000 cars in China in 2012, which was an 8% improvement over 2011. 

The sales were split roughly 50-50 between Peugeot and Citroën. Peugeot sold 216,200 cars in China, and Citroën sold 223,800 cars. PSA and its partner Dongfeng build their cars in Wuhan, China. Both brands offer a total of nine models in China. 

Citroën also formed a new joint venture with Chinese automaker Chongqing Changan to build DS cars in Shenzhen, China, which will begin in the summer of 2013.
