The GTS is really a style package that comes in white with a prominent black stripe with dark red stripes on both sides. The stripe runs over the hood, roof, rear spoiler, mirror caps and tailgate. The GTS has unique, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, flared side skirts, a rear diffuser and body-color trim. It includes red-painted calipers and 18in “Thunder” wheels with alloy fronts and black details. It also includes GTS badges on the tread plates.

The interior is black and red like the body stripe and includes a golf ball shift knob like the 1982 Scirocco.

Power comes from the 2.0 TSI engine with 210ps and either six-speed manual or DSG.

Volkswagen has not announced a price for the GTS trim, but it will be available later this year.
