The VW Up is spreading like a virus. We reported last week that Skoda would be getting a version of the Up called the Citigo. Now Seat is reporting that it will have its own version called the Mii. At this rate the Bugatti version will be along in about three or four weeks, right after the Lamborghini-badged Up.
Mechanically and dimensionally, the Mii is identical to the Up. It will be available with 1.0, three-cylinder petrol engines making either 60hp or 75hp. It is the same 3.56 meters long with at most 951 liters of storage with the rear seats down.
The exterior is slightly different. It wears the corporate Seat nose and has unique headlights. The rest of the bodywork is pretty similar to the Up.
One element that has not been mentioned with other versions of the Up is Seat's portable infotainment system. It comprises a 5in screen that can be removed from the car but can also integrate with the car's radio. It incorporates hands-free calling and navigation.
Seat did not announce a price for the Mii, but it should retail for around the 9,850 Euro that the Up costs in Germany. The three-door Mii will be out later this year with a five-door model coming in the first quarter of 2012.
