1.4 TSI DSG its world debut. 

Skoda has new models of the Yeti in Russia - the Russian exclusive Yeti Sochi and Yeti 1.4 TSI DSG. The Yeti Sochi is meant to promote the Winter Olympics coming in two years in Sochi, Russia. The car comes in more standard equipment, all-wheel drive, a six-speed DSG and a 1.8 TSI engine with 150hp. It is only available in Candy White and will only be sold in Russia beginning in 2013. 

The Yeti 1.4 TSI DSG is getting its world debut in Moscow. It has 121hp and will go on sale in early 2013. 

Skoda is trying to raise its volume to 1.5 million cars a year by 2018, and it is pinning a lot of that volume on Russia. To do so Skoda is working to launch a new or revised model every six months until then. Skoda sales are up 41.5% so far this year in Russia and have increased by a factor of 10 since 2005. 

“This country is one of the world’s strongest-growing market and offers tremendous potential for ŠKODA. We intend to resolutely continue our dynamic development of recent years. We will have more capacity in the future so as to further raise our sales in Russia,” said Skoda CEO Dr. Winfried Vahland.

In addition to the new Yeti, Skoda will begin selling the RapidSkoda Rapid Gen.1Czech Rep., 2012 > present87 versions

in Russia in 2014 and build it at the Kaluga factory. Although, Skoda says that it is contemplating introducing it sooner.
