Skoda presents VisionD and new corporate design in Geneva

The Geneva Motor Show was the stage chosen by Skoda for the debut of the concept VisionD, a vehicle that gives a glimpse of which direction the design of the Czech brand will be heading to. During the Volkswagen Group Evening Skoda also unveiled its new corporate design, under the slogan “The New Power of Škoda”.

The VisionD design concept is the image of what might be the future design DNA of Skoda and, of course, it uses modern stylistic elements and the latest technology. It features a long wheelbase and short overhangs which have become a requirement in the automotive architecture in order to allow an above-average interior space.

At the front the radiator grille with a shiny finish symbolizes the brand’s aesthetic blueprint. In the middle of the car we can find the newly arranged and clearly structured logo, which becomes a starting point for all the contours.

The VisionD and the new corporate image are part of Skoda’s ambitions to achieve economic growth coupled with new design, while preserving its traditional strengths.

“We are keen to express the new power of our brand not only through our future products, but also in the way we present ourselves to partners and customers. Škoda is synonymous with attractive cars offering exceptional value for money, countless clever solutions and precisely executed work. All this is clearly reflected by our updated corporate design,” explained Jürgen Stackmann, the Board Member responsible for marketing and sales.

In the logo the main changes can be spotted on the winged arrow, which in the new design will be much larger and more visible. The winged arrow also saw its color change from “natural green” to the new lush “Škoda Green”.
