Smart Parades 1,114 Cars From 27 Countries Through Belgium

had its annual meeting for owners in Antwerp along the city's port. The event drew 1,594 visitors and 1,114 cars, which is a new record for a Smart meeting. Cars came from 27 countries. 

The event took place over four days, and Smart is donating 5,200 trees to Kenya to compensate for the CO2 produced by the Smart's during the event. 

Smart has been holding annual meetings for its owners since 2000 and has been growing a larger number of cars each year. The event draws the cars' designers, tuners and experts as well who take part in outings and give seminars. There are also concerts, stunt shows, and tours of Antwerp on the Smart Ebike. They also allowed visitors to test drive the Smart Fortwo. 

Next year the meeting will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland on August 23 to 25, 2013.
