Tesla Model S Doubling Production and Hiring More Workers

has been on sale briefly and so far has been building about 40 a week. It has recently implemented production changes and hired new workers to allow production to double to roughly 80 cars a week. Tesla is hoping to build 5000 Model S cars this year but has completed 400 so far this year. 

Musk says that the company will never build a car that it does not believe in and says that it has big announcements coming soon. 

In addition to the Model S, Tesla is working on the Model X crossover that will come next year and is building the battery packs for the Toyota Rav 4 EVToyota Rav4 EVJapan, 2013 > present5 photos
