Toyota Preparing for Very Positive Year in 2013

is expecting to have a very good year in the United States in 2013. Sales are up, and it has new cars planned. 

Toyota says that January sales jumped 21.6% to 157,725 cars. Of those, 141,514 cars were Toyotas, which represented a 26.1% increase.

The company's hybrid cars are also doing quite well with sales up 45,4% to 24,232 cars. 

"The sales pace we saw in the fourth quarter of last year rolled into January, exceeding our expectations for the industry. Toyota started the year off strong, with total sales up over 26 percent, more than double the industry average," said Toyota US General Manager Bill Fay.

Just a few more days, and it will be here. Hopefully, after these new cars, Toyota can decide what to do with Scion. It has become a fiasco.
