Convertible will be available worldwide but will be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2012.
Volkswagen is keeping tight-lipped on the car's price, but it will be available with the 2.0 TSI engine, 2.5-liter five cylinder and 2.0-liter TDI at launch late in 2012. Volkswagen predicts that the diesel version will be rated at 41mpg highway in the US.

Volkswagen will also add a hybrid version of the JettaVolkswagen Jetta HybridGermany, 2012 > present5 photos
to its US lineup in 2013. Volkswagen is keeping details about it mostly unknown for now, but it says that it will use a turbocharged engine and seven-speed DSG transmission in addition to the electric motor. It believes fuel economy will be around 45mpg highway.
It will also add the 2.0 TDI engine to the standard Beetle for 2013.
