VW unveils concept for Gran Turismo 6

is unveiling at this year's Wörthersee a car specially designed for the videogame Gran Turismo 6. The GTI Roadster Vision Gran TurismoVolkswagen GTI Roadster V...Germany, 2014 > present is a tow-seat roadster with a very bold design.

The designers of the German brand had complete freedom in terms of the vehicle development, leaving aside any production intent. The design of the GTI Roadster is up to the level of fame of the Gran Turismo series with highly sculpted and aggressive lines, but can still maintain some of Volkswagen's corporate identity.

Inside the vehicle the driver and passenger are seated in a carbon fibre monocoque with sports seats.

"The Vision Gran Turismo project provided an excellent opportunity to outline radical ideas and design elements of the GTI that are portrayed in the most vibrant, dynamic and emotive way possible," said the Director of Volkswagen Design Klaus Bischoff.

To equip the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo, Volkswagen virtually designed a 3.0 liter V6 twin-turbo engine with 503hp and 560Nm of torque. Weighing just 1420kg, VW states that the vehicle can reach 100km/h in 3.6s and a top speed of 309km/h. The German brand has designed the vehicle with a dual clutch seven-speed DSG gearbox and the 4Motion all wheel drive system.

The Vision Gran Turismo Roadster Volkswagen GTI will soon be available for download for the Gran Turismo 6.
