458 Italia (Italy, 2009)

The Ferrari 458 Italia was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and has received several awards.

The 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5l V8 petrol engine. This car is capable of producing 570hp at 9000rpm and a maximum torque of 540Nm at 6000rpm. The engine is mated with a double clutch 7-speed transmission and has a fuel consumption of 13.3l/100km in combined cycle with co2 emissions ranging 307 g/km.

The 458 Italia goes from 0 to 100 km in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h.

The Ferrari 458 Italia received several international awards. They include the nomination by some of the most respected automotive mazines in the world.

Described as "one of the fastest, most thrilling and comunicative supercars of all time, as well as one of the easiest to drive day in, day out," the 458 Italia was elected by CAR magazine, in the UK, as “Performance Car of the Year 2010”.

The Ferrari sports car received two other awards from the Midle East. One of the leading magazines in the region, Car Middle East, handed the overall “Car of the Year 2010” and “Supercar of the Year 2010” awards to the 458 Italia. The magazine described the supercar as instantly desirable and the ultimate superhero car.

Finally, two other awards came from China. At the Guangzhou Auto Show received the “2010 Super Sports Car of The Year” from Top Gear (China Edition), and “The Most Admired Sports Car 2010” by Xcar, the popular Chinese automotive internet Web site.
