The engine is expected to be tuned to over 600hp, from 562hp in the current model, thanks to larger air intakes, new exhaust and upgraded ECU. The 458 will get more downforce from a new front bumper and rear tweaks to get the power to the road. 

It will also lose some weight. In the previous F430 Scuderia, Ferrari shed 100kg (221lb) of weight. 

Ferrari has been revealing new versions of its V8 cars every two years. The F430 Scuderia was revealed in 2007, the 458 in 2009 and 458 SpiderFerrari 458 SpiderItaly, 2011 > present18 photos
