Mazda 6 is a mid-size family car launched in 2002. It was very well received. It hit faster than any other Mazda model the one millionth unit sold mark. A new generation was introduced in 2008. This series was again very popular, receiving several awards on the family car segment. In 2011 a facelift refreshed the model’s design. Mazda 6 is available has a 4-door sedan, a 5-door liftback and a 5-door station wagon.

In 1927, the company’s name was shortened to ‘Toyo Kogyo Co.’ and it remained like so until 1984, although all the vehicles produced carried the Mazda nameplate ever since the company’s inception. In Japanese, the company’s current name and all its vehicles are spelled and pronounced ‘Matsuda’, just like its founder’s last name.
