The Infiniti M35h just arrived in European dealerships, and to celebrate its release Infiniti took the M35h to a drag strip and set the Guinness Record for the fastest full hybrid car in the quarter mile.
The car that set the record was a regular production-version of the car, and it set an average time of 13.9 seconds and a fastest single time of 13.89 seconds at the Santa Pod Raceway in the UK.
The M35h is nearly as efficient as it is fast. It uses 7.0l/100km of petrol and produces 162g/km of CO2 despite making 364PS. It accelerates to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.
The Infiniti is meant to compete with the BMW 5-series and Jaguar XF. Its 5.5 second 0-100km/h is faster than all but the highest spec versions of its competitors.
