Aston Martin Sneaks Out DBS Ultimate on Consumer Site

Ultimate with no fan fair on its consumer web site early on May 9. 

We can not say much about the model other than what Aston Martin has revealed so far. The Ultimate is available on both the Coupe and Volante convertible with either a manual or automatic transmission. The exterior is available in either Silver Fox Quantum Silver or Carbon Black and the wheels are black with a diamond-effect that gives them a shiny exterior and black details. The car adds carbon fiber mirror caps and smoked, carbon fiber-effect covers over the tail lights. The brake calipers are available in yellow, red or black. The cars also get special DBS Ultimate badges that are trimmed in red. 

Inside the cars get diamond-quilted, Obsidian Black leather on the seats and door panels and a diamond-quilted Alcantara headliner. Automatic cars get red leather accents on the paddle shifters. There is also carbon fiber trim throughout the interior and DBS Ultimate badges. 

The Ultimate will be limited to 100 cars with each sill plate individually numbered. Aston Martin is taking orders now, and deliveries will start in June. The car has a base price for a six-speed coupe £186,582, compared to £175,891 for the standard DBS. It is available worldwide. 

You have to wonder if this special edition does not confirm the rumor that Aston Martin has a new DBS coming sometime next year. It gives Aston Martin an opportunity to finish out the run of DBS cars with a special edition before the new car is released.
