Bentley Officially Announces SUV Coming in 2016

has officially announced that its SUV will go into production and be on sale in 2016.

Because it is now a production car, the EXP 9 F name from the concept has been dropped; Bentley only uses the EXP moniker for concepts. The name for the production version has not been announced yet.

The Bentley SUV will be built at its headquarters in Crewe, England, and Bentley will invest £800 million to upgrade the factory to build the new car.

“The Volkswagen Group believes in the UK as a competitive location for industrial production. Bentley fans all around the world are looking forward to the brand’s first SUV. Together we will make this new Bentley another true Bentley – powerful, exclusive and successful,” said Dr. Martin Winterkorn, VW Group Chairman, at the car’s announcement.

Bentley claims that the new SUV will be the most luxurious and powerful SUV in the world when it goes on sale.
