Bentley W12 Continuing Development with Fuel Economy and Power Boosts

Bentley W12 Continuing Development with Fuel Economy and Power Boosts

Bentley is not giving up on its 6.0 liter W12 yet. Despite the trend from automakers worldwide to make smaller engines and diesels to adhere to emissions and fuel economy rules, Bentley thinks that it can clean up its W12 to be cleaner.

The W12 will get the same improvements that Bentley's V8 recently received to improve power and decrease emissions. The engine could see a bump to around 600hp, up from 567hp. Further upgrades could include a new eight-speed automatic transmission, a hybrid or possibly even a plug-in hybrid.
