Group chief.

“The Galibier is officially dead,” Winterkorn confirmed. “We won’t do it. In its place will be a second-generation Veyron with more power.”

No information on the new Veyron has been revealed, not even a hint on the launch date of the new model. For some time there was also an intention to launch an ultimate performance version of the Veyron, however that one has also been ruled out. Early reports said that the super version would have more than 1500hp and a top speed above 450km/h.

Unveiled in 2009 the Galibier saloon concept was to become a new flagship for Bugatti. Development of the Galibier was slow, however, the last reports indicated that the brand intended to launch the model in 2015 or 2016.
