Cadillac ATS Awarded as 2012 Esquire Car of the Year

as its car of the year. The car will be featured in the October issue of the magazine that goes on sale on September 18. 

The ATS is on sale now but has not yet arrived in all US dealers. 

"It's been heartening to watch the American auto industry re-assert itself over the last couple of years. The ATS is an exciting new chapter in that process—a balls to the wall effort at reinvention. It's fantastic," said David Granger, editor-in-chief of Esquire.

The magazine is also publishing an article about the making of the ATS from its initial design through its manufacturing. 

The ATS is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive forms and with three engines.
