“The original Camaro Z/28 was designed for racing and became an iconic performance car through its hard-fought victories,” said Mark Kent, director of racing for Chevrolet.

The Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge will begin at 1:45pm EST on Friday, January 24, and it will have a 12-race season supporting TUSC.

The Z/28.R replaces the Camaro GS.R in the series. The GS.R won six races from 2011 to 2013 and was runner-up in the GS championship last season.
