Chevrolet Cruze Wagon with 1.7l Diesel Coming to Geneva

Chevrolet Cruze Wagon with 1.7l Diesel Coming to Geneva

Chevrolet has confirmed that it is bringing a Cruze Wagon to the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.

The Cruze wagon will continued to be offered with the 2.0l diesel with 163ps found in the current Cruze, but it will also be available with a new 1.7l diesel with 130ps, start/stop tech and CO2 emissions of 119g/km of CO2 compared to 141g/km of CO2 from the 2.0l diesel.

The Cruze Wagon is 4,678mm long, which makes it 168mm longer than the Cruze Hatchback.

The new wagon more than triples cargo volume compared to the sedan. The wagon has 1500 liters of load space with the seats down according to Chevy, whereas the sedan has 450 liters with the seats up in the sedan.

The wagon also gets a slightly changed front fascia and fog lights compared to the other variants.

The Cruze Station Wagon caters to an important market segment. It ticks all the boxes for European drivers in terms of distinctive design, dynamic driving, space and economy," said Chevrolet Europe President and Managing Director Susan Docherty.

Chevy claims that it has sold over 1 million Cruzes in all of its variants around the world since the sedan debuted in 2009.
