Coulthard Leaving DTM After Hockenheim Round

David Coulthard is leaving the DTM after the final race this season at Hockenheim.

Coulthard's tenure in the DTM has been relatively unsuccessful since joining the series in 2010. He scored just one point in each of his first two seasons but has scored 14 points so far this season.

Coulthard is leaving the racing series to focus of being a commentator for the BBC's F1 coverage. Coulthard will continue to be a brand ambassador for MercedesMercedes-BenzGermany, 1924 > present197 models

“I am looking forward to the final race of what has been an exciting season in the DTM. The weekend will be my final opportunity to compete at this level as I will stop racing in the DTM to concentrate on my developing off-track businesses and of course my family. I have enjoyed the last three years and I wish the organizers and competitors in DTM continued growth and success with the championship," said Coulthard.

The final round of the DTM series this season will take place at Hockenheim from October 19-21.
