Ferrari has unveiled the first pictures of its newest special Project: the Superamerica 45. This car is a uniqe one-off model which was recently delivered to its owner New York collector and Ferrari enthusiast Peter Kalikow.
The Superamerica 45 was styled internally by Ferrari Design and engineered and built in-house. The car was chosen by Mr Kalikow to to celebrate 45 years since he first became a Ferrari client. The unique car will be making its public debut at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza on 20th May.
The adapted design features a carbon-fibre rotating hard-top which incorporates a rear screen. The boot is completely new in order to receive the hard top. Built in carbon-fibre it features optimized design in order to reduce drag and increase rear downforce.
The rear buttresses are body-coloured, integral with the rear wheelarches, and incorporate rear quarterlights. In profile the most distinguishable feature are the double air vents on the front wing. The Superamerica 45 has also been fitted with a specific chromed front grille and special burnished aluminium A-pillars, wing mirrors and door handles.
Painted in an exclusive Blu Antille, the Superamerica 45 colour matches another important car in the client’s collection – a 1961 400 Superamerica cabriolet nr. 2331SA. The wheels are body-coloured with a contrasting diamond finish to the spokes.
