has sneakily announced that the Fiat Abarth 500 CabrioAbarth 500CItaly, 2010 > present3 photos
will make its American debut at the LA Auto Show in a Youtube video.
The video shows Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa driving the car in Texas, but the key is the video description that says: "The Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa tested the FIAT 500 Abarth Cabrio in Austin, Texas, in anticipation of its North American debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show."
Although Fiat does not say anything about the car's specs, it seems safe to assume that it will use the same turbocharged 1.4-liter engine with 160hp and 170lb-ft of torque with a five-speed manual transmission as the current Abarth 500Abarth 500 (modern)Italy, 2007 > present59 versions

That means that the US will get two new 500 models at the LA Auto Show. Fiat also announced the 500e only for California late last week.
