First look at Mugen-tuned Honda CR-Z

Mugen, the motorsport group which specializes in tuning Honda’s, has released the first images of their upcoming CR-Z model.

The supercharged, hybrid coupe is said to feature slightly better performance than a Civic Type R, with track testing revealing similar 0-60mph times. This was with an early prototype model with a mid-tune engine however, which was also without a planned 15 percent increase in power and 50kg lighter chassis.

Colin Whittamore from Mugen Euro adds “Early fuel consumption tests have also been encouraging. We've retained the three driving modes from the standard car and economy ranges from 50+mpg in 'eco' mode to mid-30 mpg when tapping into the supercharged power in a special 'MUGEN' mode."

I really don't like this car. A performance hybrid? There is no such thing at this price. The Porsche 928 yes!
