Ford Fiesta ST Finally Ready for Debut at Geneva

Ford first showed the concept for the Fiesta ST at the Frankfurt Motor Show and showed it again at the North American International Auto Show, but it is now finally ready to debut the production version of the hot Fiesta. Although, Europe will still have to wait a little longer to buy the car, it will not officially on on sale until early 2013.

The Fiesta ST uses a 1.6l four-cylinder Ecoboost engine with 180ps, 240Nm of torque, acceleration to 100km/h in less than seven seconds and a 220km/h top speed. Ford also claims a 20% reduction in emissions compared to the previous Fiesta ST.

As with any sporty model, Ford has tuned the Fiesta ST's suspension to be stiffer, and it did over 5,000 laps dialing the suspension in at the Nuerburgring.

For the interior, the car gets standard Recaro seats and Ford SYNC. Plus an interior with contrasting seats.

Ford is not ruling out bringing the Fiesta ST to North America, but Europe will get the car first. It is also looking into a future five-door variant.
