Honda reveals image of the new F1 engine

. Honda has revealed the first official image of the new turbo engine that is still being developed.

During the Japanese Grand Prix, Honda presented a video showing a preview of the new F1 engine that includes a simulation of a lap in Suzuka where he could the engine revving.

According to Yasuhisa Arai, who is leading Honda's F1 project, the new engine is entering a major phase in the headquarters of Research and Development at Sakura, where the development work is taking place. In addition to simulations, Honda has now started testing the engine simultaneously with the turbocharger and the energy recovery systems.

Honda also states that its operational headquarters in Milton Keynes, in the United Kingdom, is ready and this is the location where part of the development tests will take place.

With six months to go to its return to Formula 1, Honda ensures that the entire team is focused on developing the engine to ensure it is ready for the debut.
