has no plans to limit its new aluminum platform to just Jaguar vehicles. While the first car to use it will be Jaguar’s upcoming smaller sedan in 2015, Land Rover may also use it for a future truck. Using the platform on multiple vehicles is the key to making it affordable.

Jaguar debuted the new platform when they showed it on the C-X17C-X17Jaguar C-X17United Kingdom, 2014 > 2014 crossover concept. It is investing £1.5 billion (€1.79 billion) to create the new, modular platform.
