range.

It uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and hybrid motor for a total system output of 220hp (223ps) routed through a CVT. It emits 109g/km of CO2 and uses 4.7l/100km.

The exterior and interior are identical to the standard GS. All GS models are now available with a color Head-Up Display.

It will also be available as an F SPORT version that adds an Active Variable Suspension, LED fog lights, 19in wheels and is available in three exclusive colors – F White, Starlight Black and Midnight Blue.

Lexus has tried to keep the maintenance costs down for its hybrids as low as possible. The starter and alternator are integral to the hybrid and are meant to never need service. It has a timing chain that is also maintenance free. Lexus believes that the car will only need one set of new brake pads, one set of tires and no new brake discs in the first 90,000km of ownership.

The GS300h will go on sale at the end of 2013 in the Europe.
