Maldonado Dreams of Putting Williams Back on Top

Maldonado is still working for his contract next season

to their former glory next season before he leaves the team. The problem is that Maldonado has not yet signed with the team for next season but is confident a decision is coming.

"It is my mission to put Williams at the top. Before I leave, I really hope to win the championship with this team," said Maldonado.

Maldonado's season has been very up and down. He won in Catalunya but has only scored points in three races this season. He went on a nine-race pointless streak between winning in Catalunya and finishing eighth in Japan.

"I don't have the confirmation at the moment, but for sure I'd really like to stay. I really appreciated the team giving me a great responsibility as the No.1 driver in the No.1 car, and I think I did pretty well," said Maldonado.

Maldonado seems confident that a new contract between him and the team is imminent.

Williams has not signed Bruno Senna for next season either. It is likely they will decide to keep one of the drivers, but it is no clear who just yet.
