, Mercedes’ joint venture partner in China. The factory will be able to built 250,000 four- and six-cylinder a year in its first phase with higher capacity to be added later.
“The investment of around 400 million euros demonstrates our commitment to serving our Chinese customers even better with the latest technology locally made and our confidence in a prosperous future in this market,” said Hubertus Troska, Daimler head of China.
The factory emulates the way that Mercedes builds engines in Europe with the same quality standards and production processes. The workers receive continuous on-the-job training.
The engines will be used by Mercedes in the cars and vans that it builds in China, including the C-ClassMercedes-Benz C-Class Gen.4Germany, 2007 > 2013188 versions
