The design of the livery is quite similar until you look at the car from the top. From the front and sides, it is just a mix of grey, white and red, but from the top, it is obvious that the red is showing a stylized “50” to celebrate 50 years of the 911. The grey reads "911".

The two 911 RSRs will race in the entire World Endurance Championship this season including at Le Mans. It is the first time that a Porsche factory team will race at Le Mans since 1998.

The latest 911 RSR has a 10cm longer wheelbase and a new dual-wishbone front suspension to replace the previous McPherson struts. Power comes from a 4.0-liter flat six with a Porsche Motorsport designed and built six-speed transmission.

Porsche says that the biggest priority when creating the new 911 RSR was improving weight distribution. It also used the opportunity to lower the center of gravity.

The new car uses more carbon fiber than ever before with the front and rear mudguards, front and rear covers, doors, underbody, wheel arches, rear wing, dashboard and center console all made from carbon fiber. To further cut weight, it uses a lithium-ion battery.

There have been some other smaller changes as well. The radiator has been moved from the corners to the center of the car, and the cockpit air conditioning has been improved.

The #91 car will be driven by Jörg Bergmeister and Patrick Pilet. Timo Bernhard will join for Le Mans, Silverstone and Spa. The #92 car will be driven by Marc Lieb and Richard LIetz. Romain Dumas will join the team for the longer races.
