Skoda Bringing 5 Sports Models to Wörthersee, Including Rapid Sport

is bringing five sporty models to the Wörthersee-Treffen 2013 including the world premiere for the Skoda Rapid SportSkoda Rapid SPORTCzech Rep., 2013 > present. The meeting that celebrates all things Volkswagen is celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year from May 8 to 11. 

The Rapid Sport is painted in a mix of Steel Grey and Corrida Red that splits the car nearly 50/50. The front gets a larger splitter with a larger air intake and slightly wider fenders. It also gets lower side sills and rides on 19in wheels. At the rear, the Rapid Sport has a new bumper with two integrated exhaust pipes with a carbon fiber cover and clear C-shaped taillights. 

Inside, the car gets a sport steering wheel, Recaro seats and illuminated doorsills. 

“With the ŠKODA Rapid SPORT, we will put a decidedly dynamic and emotional version of our new compact sedan Rapid on display for the first time. This way, we once again demonstrate the competence of our team with regard to sporty vehicles and motorsports,” said Werner Eichhorn, Skoda head of sales and marketing.

The Octavia Combi with the sport package gets a gloss black front grill with a red and black front spoiler. The mirror covers and roof rack are covered in a similar gloss black as the grill. The rear diffuser is painted a similar black and red as the front spoiler. It rides on 18in matte black wheels. Inside, it has black sport seats with red stitching. 

The Citigo Motorsport is white with black stripes along the hood and roof. It gets special front and rear spoilers, rear diffuser and mirror caps that are all painted black. It rides on special 16in wheels that are offered in either white or black. There are Skoda Motorsports decals on the sides. 

The Fabia RS Motorsport comes in Candy White with black trim on the grill and roof and black headlight trim. It also gets tinted windows, a racing stripe, 17in wheels and Skoda Motorsports decal. At the rear, there is a center exhaust. It rides on 17in wheels in either white or black. 

The Fabia S2000 is Skoda's current competition machine since Volkswagen took over in the WRC this season.
