"I think there’s quite a big movement just now, people want to see a woman in Formula One, the momentum is definitely there."
"For me the next logical step is to do the young driver test, and do it well, and then see what the next step is after that," said Wolff.
Wolff will still have to apply for a super license to be allowed on the grid of an F1 race.
"I would have enough mileage it already but there’s no point in doing that just now because it’s unrealistic for me to get a race seat yet," she said.
Wolff herself has an accomplished driving career. She raced in the DTM for Mercedes from 2006 to 2012 and moved to Williams as a development driver last year.

F1 team and also the company's CEO. She started working for the team in the late 90s doing legal work. She was elected to the company's Executive Board in 2001. When Peter Sauber stepped down from being team principal of the F1 team last year, she took over. The move made her the first female F1 team principal in the sport's history.
