as it is known outside of the North America, South America and Japan, has been going strong over two generations since 2001, but the Brazilian market is about to get its own exclusive version that turns the little hatchback into a tiny SUV.

The Fit Twist rounds off the Fit and gives it beefier fenders, luggage area on the roof, new mirrors, new taillights and a redesigned front grill. The interior is basically identical to the Fit/Jazz but with new fabric and waterproof floor.

The Fit Twist uses the same front-wheel drive 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Because this is Brazil, it is flexfuel and can run on either ethanol with 116hp or petrol with 115hp. It is available with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

The Fit Twist goes on sale in Brazil at the end of October with prices starting at R$57,900, which is about $28,600 or €21,900.

Honda has no plans to sell the Fit Twist outside of Brazil.
