from Melbourne, Australia, to St. Petersburg, Russia. Zietlow and company began their journey on July 30 on their 23,000km trip. The goal is to make this drive in three weeks or less.
The truck had a roll cage and an extra fuel tank. The truck has a 3.0 TDI V6 engine with 225ps. The team carries with them a letter from the mayor of Melbourne to the main city official in St. Petersburg.
The team's position will be mapped 30 minutes on Touareg Russtralia.
Last year, the same team set the world's fastest ever time crossing the Pan-American highway from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in 11 days, 17 hours and 22 minutes. They drove a 3.0 TDI V6 Touareg on that journey as well.
