is Volkswagen's best selling model in China. It introduced the model there in 1981 and has sold nearly 4 million since then. The latest Santana is a notchback sedan with revised styling. 

The new car has a slightly longer wheelbase for more rear knee room and a slightly larger trunk. It comes standard with ABS, front, side and head airbags, stability control, air conditioning, electric sunroof, alloy wheels, parking sensors and leather upholstery. All of these features are either standard or optional depending on if drivers order the Trendline, Comfortline and Highline trims. 

Power comes from a variety of naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines. The basic engine is a 1.4-liter with 90ps and 5.9l/100km fuel consumption. The larger engine is a 1.6-liter with 110ps that uses 6.0l/100km. These are improvements of up to 28% over the previous generation. 

The new Santana will be built at VW's Shanghai factory.
