is having quite the sales turnaround this this year. After sales falling earlier in the year, the company’s sales increased by 13.5% for September. It is Volvo’s third consecutive month of growth. Sales for the year from January to September are only down 0.6%. Volvo may still see an increase in sales this year, if this continues.
Volvo sold 40,952 cars worldwide in September. China saw the biggest gains with 5,719 cars sold in the month, up 48.6% from September 2012. The XC60 is the bestselling car there with 2,482 cars sold.
Europe is still Volvo’s largest world market with 23,391 cars sold there, a 23.6% increase. The United States saw sales fall 16% to 4,188 cars in September.
For the year from January to September, China is showing 41.3% growth with 43,380 cars sold. Sales in the US are down 6.6% for the year, and sales in Europe are down 3.6%.
